Any SMD discrete can be put on Proto-Chip breadboards, as well as leaded devices! The pads are on 0.1" centers, so put DIP sockets on it, see the pix on the site! The TSSOP and TSOP packages on the DIP2 board are set up to be able to put multiple chips across the area where the gaps are, or put wires or components across the other sides of the fine pitch leads. Its a little hard to solder the fine wires, but try using 30-36 gauge wire, or magnet(coil) wire for the real tiny connections. See soldering article on doing this!

Put DIP components on Proto-Chip n' DIP 2 like controllers, or micro's, DSP chips! It has a ground plane on back! and on top! Some engineers have used these boards for RF circuits! They work great! Not microwave, yet.....There are limits to everything...too much of a good thing, is a good thing....
